Soho Flea Market 2013

This was the second annual Soho Flea Market, held on Dean Street, London. A delightful collection of about 30 stalls selling crafts, upcycled paraphernalia, jewellery, stationery, ceramics (Melody Rose) and fashion. Home made treats served by Meringue Girls and their pink flamingos, eco friendly lampshades (The Baobab Tree), lush chairs (Velvet Eccentrics) and sassy shoes (Valentini Argyropoulou)
One of my favourite stalls selling quirky china - Jimbobart!
Passionate plates and ceramics! by Melody Rose

The market supported the work of Kids Company charity. For more details about future events please see www. Cityshowcase.co.uk

Christian Louboutin at the Design Museum

"Men are like bulls: they cannot resist a red sole!"

“A good shoe is one that doesn't dress you but undresses you. So if a woman is naked, and wearing shoes, she should still look nude.”

"I'd hate someone to look at my shoe and say That looks so comfortable!"

"The shiny red color is engaging, flirtatious, memorable and the color of passion"

Vintage 2011

Vintage 2011 came to the Southbank this week-end. A music and fashion led celebration of food, drink, dance, art, design, comedy and everything else british, creative and cool from the 1940's-80's.
Red or Deads, Wayne Hemingway was behind the colourful event which saw the Southbank come to life with bunting, glitter balls, sandy beaches, live music and stalls selling all things vintage!

Vivienne Westwood shoe porn!

"Shoes must have very high heels and platforms to put womens beauty on a pedestal!" So says Dame Vivienne Westwood, fashion designer of garments and shoes that have become famous british icons. Last year, I enjoyed an exhibition celebrating the designers creativity, focusing on her shoes from 1973-2010. Pure shoe porn...!
