Until I was 16, I had a trademark ginger plait. How ever, the day finally came when my grandma and mum took me to Vidal Sassoons in King St, Manchester, to have a "posh, grown-up" hair cut! I planned to frame the plait, but once I got home, it felt like an amputated limb, so it was put in a drawer and left there. Many years have passed since and recently I decided to frame it! I love it as it was part of me for over a decade, although there is something quite strange about it too!! If you have any hairy pieces lying around and need them framing, Paul at the Picture House in Didsbury village is now an expert at framing plaits!
