A couple of years ago, I went to a magical installation inside an old train Goods shed in Kings Cross. As I entered the usually empty shed and ascended a rickety staircase, the void was filled by thousands of white balloons delicately suspended. Scattered Crowd by Forsythe was breathtakingly simple. The slightest stir caused a ripple of movement. The balloons created a sea of total calmness and seemed to slow everyones movement down. It felt as I was walking in slow motion. A surreal, but lovely experience!
